WHAT IS CAMP SUNDAY?

Help your congregation grow in their faith through the vibrant ministries of Camp Chestnut Ridge.

Camp Sunday for the NC Conference is officially on Feb 23, 2020. But you can really celebrate Camp Sunday on any Sunday that is convenient for your church.

Camp Sunday is an opportunity for you to celebrate your camping ministries, and to share information about Camp Chestnut Ridge, so that your people can experience the transformative power of the love of Christ through the camp experience.

What is?

CAMP SUNDAY OPTIONS

Invite a Chestnut Ridge Staff Member to speak at your church. They can preach a sermon, speak to Sunday School classes, set up a display, and/or do a ministry moment.
Invite current or former campers from your church to share briefly about their camp experience and the impact camp has had on their life.
Pray for the camping ministries and the campers who will come this summer.
Show a camp video
Use camp PowerPoint slides during pre-worship time or announcements
Hand out camp brochures
Sing camp songs
Take up a special offering to support camperships for kids in need.
Hold a fellowship meal after church to raise money to send kids to camp.
