A day with the horses
For the rider with some experience in the saddle, this is your chance to spend a day with the horses, improve your skills, try something new, and make friends.
This day camp is ALL day with the horses: trail and arena riding, learning horsemanship, horse crafts, and games!
OPEN TO ALL RIDERS IN 4th - 8th GRADES who have ridden a horse on their own before. Riders will be placed in small groups based on skill level.

HORSE SLUMBER PARTY
A weekend full of horses
Is there a girl in your life who loves horses? Well then this retreat is for her! Our experienced horse staff will guide these campers through an overnight stay full of fun and horses.
Campers arrive Friday evening to meet the horses, cook dinner and s’mores over a campfire, and make horse crafts! Saturday is all horses, all the time…well, except for eating. We will play games on horseback, go for long rides, do some grooming and just enjoy being outdoors with horses.
** Note - This event is for girls who have ridden a horse at least once by themselves before.

Intersession or Spring Break Horse Camps
Time with the horses when school's out
Need something fun to do while school is out?
Learn horsemanship and horse care, ride each day, make horse crafts and play horse games during this half day camp. For boys and girls in grades 3-6.
Intersession & Spring Break Horse Camps follow the Orange County school schedule. This is a half day camp but full day care is available.

Cost - $200 per rider for half day ONLY; $160 per rider for ADD ON to full day

COWBOY CAMPOUT
An adventure with the horses
Calling all cowboys! Are you ready to ride, lasso, and cook dinner over the fire? Campers arrive Friday evening to meet the horses, cook dinner and s’mores over a campfire, and go for a ride! Saturday is all horse, all the time…well, except for eating. We will play games on horseback, go for long rides, do some grooming and just enjoy being outdoors with horses.

Party attendees should already have a basic knowledge of horses and riding though it is not a requirement to have taken lessons at Chestnut Ridge.

LODGING
Horse Slumber Parties will stay in heated/air conditioned cabins OR in Rustic camp sites based on availability and weather.
