HORSEBACK RIDING MAJOR
Boots or hard soled shoes with a definitive heel. Paddock style boots or cowboy boots are good. Sneakers and rubber rain boots are not appropriate footwear for riding. Camp has boots in most sizes to loan.
Crew socks. Low cut or ankle socks aren't long enough and can lead to riders getting rubs or blisters from boots.
Long Pants, leggings or jeans are required for riding. Campers can change into shorts for other activities. See more
Riders may bring their own ASTM-SEI certified riding helmet, gloves and half chaps. Staff will make sure that helmets brought from home fit correctly. If a personal helmet does not fit correctly, one will be provided.
