Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does my camper have to attend Orange County Schools? No. Full-Day Remote Learning Day Camp is open to K-8th grade students from any school.

  • Will you still run the normal After School program? Yes, for those schools we regularly serve that are meeting in-person we will continue to provide After School care.

  • Can I sign up for After School and Full-Day Remote Learning Camp in the same week? Yes, if that is what your schedule dictates. Just select the days you need each during registration.

  • Will campers be able to do their remote school work? Yes, there will be time scheduled for campers to do their remote learning. We have wifi in our dining hall, and we have purchased an extender so campers can space out at the picnic tables outdoors and do their work. We will assist them in getting on scheduled zoom calls.

  • Will camp staff assist the students with their school work? Yes, our staff are available and happy to assist. However, our staff are not trained tutors, and this is not a 1 on 1 mentoring situation.

  • Can I just sign up for certain days? Yes, you can sign up for the entire week, or just the days you need.

  • Will you provide food? Camp will provide pre-packaged snacks in the morning and afternoon. Please pack a lunch for your camper that does not need refrigeration or heating.

  • What safety protocols are in place? We will continue following the Day Camp protocols we've used this summer that were developed in conjunction with the Orange County Health Dept. Click here for more info.

  • How will campers be divided up? Campers will be divided into small groups by age group. As much as possible, we will seek to group campers from the same school together. But depending on registration, we cannot guarantee this will always be the case.
