MEET THE HORSES
Autumn
She is a 17 year old Welsh Arab cross and has been at camp since 2018. Autumn is sweet and sensitive. She's perfect for our smaller riders!
Boyscout
He is a 20 year old Thoroughbred and has been at camp since 2018. Boyscout is slow and steady. He also enjoys swimming in the lake!
Blaze
He is a 24 year old Quarter Horse and has been at camp since 2011. Blaze does everything here at camp and is great for riders of all levels.
Callie
She is a 24 year old Thoroughbred and has been at camp since 2016. Callie is one of our staff only horses. She loves to lead trail rides and jump!
Candy
She is a 21 year old Appaloosa and has been at camp since 2014. Candy is a good all around horse. She loves peppermint candies, which is how she got her name!
Cash
He is an Arabian who is approximately 24 years old and has been at camp since 2006. Cash is perfect for our beginner and nervous riders. He loves trail rides too!
Chip
He is a 12 year old Quarter Horse Cross and has been at camp since 2016. Chip does well with more experienced riders. He's a blast to jump in the arena or on the trial!
Cody
He is a 21 year old Quarter Horse and has been at camp since 2018. Cody is a staff only horse. He's great for bareback and enjoys jumping in the arena too!
Cowboy
He is a 24 year old Quarter Horse Paint and has been at camp since 2019. Cowboy is a great trail horse. Nothing phases him. He's a little bouncy though!
Duchess
She is a 14 year old Arab Quarter Horse cross and has been at camp since 2011. Duchess is a nice all around horse. Anyone can ride her!
Dutch
He is a 25 year old Paint Horse and has been at camp since 2003. Dutch loves to trail ride and has a really smooth trot. He's great for first time riders of all ages.
Magic
He is a 20 year old Arabian and has been at camp since 2014. Magic is great on trail rides and loves to play natural horsemanship games. He doesn't like water or mud.
Missy
She is a 18 year old Quarter Horse and has been at camp since 2016. Missy walks fast and likes to be near the front of the line on the trail. Going for a swim in the lake is her favorite thing!
Moose
He is a 22 year old Paint pony and has been at camp since 2014. Moose spends his days as a pasture pet. Occasionally, he goes for a bareback ride or a swim in the lake. He's always itchy, and loves to be scratched!
Nacho
He is a 8 year old donkey and has been at camp since 2014. Nacho's job is to keep our horses safe out in the pastures. He's very sweet and curious. He even knows how to pull a cart!
Rosie
She is a 20 year old Quarter Horse and has been at camp since 2018. Rosie loves people and is always the first to say hello. She's speedy and needs a confident rider to keep her steady.
Scout
She is a 22 year old Paint pony and has been at camp since 2013. Scout can do it all! She can be a little sassy but just be confident and show her who's boss!
Serena
She is a 17 year old Thoroughbred and has been at camp since 2014. Serena is a staff only horse. Her natural speed is fast and she doesn't like to stand still for very long either!
Skip
He is a 26 year old Quarter Horse and has been at camp since 2018. Skip is reliable and lazy. He doesn't go anywhere fast. He's great with nervous, first time riders!
Tango
He is a 18 year old Quarter Horse cross and has been at camp since 2020. Tango is the newest horse at Chestnut Ridge and is still adjusting to life at camp. Be sure to check out his blue eye!
TJ
He is a 13 year old Dartmoor and has been at camp since 2019. TJ is small but mighty! He's speedy and loves to jump. He's great for our smaller more advanced riders.
Welly
He is a 13 year old Quarter Horse Warmblood cross and has been at camp since 2016. Welly is a gentle giant. He's great for our bigger, adult riders. He also loves to jump!
