PHILOSOPHY
The foundation of our After School program is supervised, unstructured outdoor play that teaches kids how to have fun outside and how to play with others. Staff also plan days of special structured activities like cooking, archery, canoeing, sports, crafts, gardening and more .
The Chestnut Ridge After School Program is a safe, faith based environment where a child can enjoy natural fun and just be a kid.

Riding Lessons
Horseback riding lessons are also offered at an additional cost for After School students during the Fall and Spring.
Inclement Weather
Chestnut Ridge will follow Orange County School decisions in regard to inclement weather.
Early Dismissals
$20 per day for students not already enrolled in the After School program
Students need to bring a lunch; snacks will be provided

The Chestnut Ridge Afterschool Program serves children in many Orange County and Alamance County Schools.
Our after-school program provides a safe environment where children can explore their natural surroundings and connect with others. We believe that providing outdoor playtime is a great way to keep your child active and healthy.
FINANCIAL POLICIES

First month's registration requires a $50 non-refundable annual supply fee and a $100 deposit per student. The deposit will be applied to your first month's tuition.

Monthly tuition is due by the 5th of each month.

Tuition can be paid in-person with cash/check, or online with a credit/debit card or automatic withdrawl.

Late tuition payments will receive a $20 late payment fee

Q: What sets Chestnut Ridge Camp and Retreat Center's afterschool program apart from others?
A: Our after-school program is unique in that it combines elements of traditional after-school care with the outdoor and nature-based programming of our summer camp. We believe that this approach helps children to build confidence, learn new skills, and develop a love for nature.

A: We cater to children from kindergarten to 8th grade.
Q: I don't see my child's school listed. Do you plan on adding service to additional schools?
A: We are not just a Hillsborough After School or a Mebane After School. We are proud to serve many schools in the greater Orange County and Alamance County areas. Don't see your school listed? Inquire for more info as we are always looking to add more schools if they have sufficient interest from several families.
Q: What are the hours of operation for the After School?
A: Our afterschool program runs from the time school gets out to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You can pick your child up at any time, but most get picked up from 4:45-5:30

Q: Is transportation provided to and from Chestnut Ridge?
A: We provide transportation from local schools to our after-school program. You'll pick up your child at camp. All of our drivers are over 21 years old and pick your child up from designated school locations in Chestnut Ridge vehicles (such as our big yellow buses named "Mac" and "Cheese." Please notify your children's school that they will be riding the Chestnut Ridge bus home.
