With something going on almost seven days a week, Chestnut Ridge is buzzing with laughter, love, and life. Because of this growth, we are also looking to expand our pool of dedicated part-time staff members. Some of the positions have specific hours, while others are on an “as needed” basis, meaning we let you know when the job opportunities are, and you get to choose when you want to work. Kitchen Staff

Prepares and cooks meals for retreat groups on weekends and occasional weekday groups. During summer camp, the kitchen staff prepares three meals a day, Monday through Friday. Works “as needed.”

Outdoor Education Staff

Instructs students who come to Chestnut Ridge for school field trips. Chestnut Ridge offers over 30 Outdoor Education programs ranging from Soils or Trees to Buccaneers and Teambuilding. Works “as needed.”

Challenge Course Facilitator

Facilitates Low Challenge Course, High Challenge Course, and teambuilding games. Weekend and weekday groups. Experience with ropes courses, debriefing, or belaying a plus, but not necessary. Works “as needed.”

2008 Summer Staff

Each summer Chestnut Ridge hires approximately 40 amazing people from around the state, around the country, and around the world to serve as counselors, lifeguards, craft instructors, or worship leaders for our summer camp. These gifted individuals dedicate their summer to living in Christian community and to making a positive impact on the lives of the campers. Our summer staff members lead many programs including horseback riding, canoeing, archery, the zipline, high ropes course, low challenge course, mountain biking, pottery, dancing, worship, sports, games, hiking tree climbing, hayrides, crafts, gardening, marshmallow launching and more! Join us for a summer of fun and fellowship you won’t soon forget! Works full-time June 3 – Aug 22. End time and weeks off are negotiable.

2008 Summer Camp Volunteer Nurse

Each week during the summer we have a registered nurse who volunteers to care for the medical needs of our campers and staff.

Each week during the summer we have an artist or craftsperson at camp to teach the campers new skills and help cultivate their creativity.
