The Summer Camp Volunteer’s responsibilities will include a mix of “behind the scenes” service during the day and sharing in community events in the evenings. Service may include, but is not limited to:
Volunteers staying overnight are expected to participate in evening activities and worship. Volunteers will be housed with the oldest camper group of their gender and, if minors, will be under the supervision of counselors in the evenings. Volunteers do not receive a night off. Volunteers are expected to maintain the highest possible standards of conduct and commitment to their assigned tasks. Excellent service will be considered favorably on future staff or junior staff applications. Failure to uphold a high code of conduct will result in release from volunteer responsibilities. Volunteers are expected to contribute $25 a week towards the cost of their meals and $25 a week towards the cost of lodging if staying overnight. In return for providing this valuable service, Chestnut Ridge will provide:
