Written by Rachel Oakes

Thanks to the wonderful folks who attended our Creation Care Retreats and a lot of very helpful campers throughout the summer, the Community Farm is ready for action!  We have a productive garden, which is ready to expand with some cool weather crops, two Tamworth hogs, and two Alpine diary goats.  Chickens, for both eggs and meat, will be coming soon!

Work Hours

Regular work hours begin officially on Saturday, August 30, from 9am to 12pm and they will continue on Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday mornings 9am -12pm throughout the year.

Membership

This is also your first chance to become a member of the Community Farm!  If you would like to share in the work and in the harvest please contact our new Farm Manager, Rachel Oakes, at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Membership is simple: Just $10 a year for a share of the vegetables from the garden, $10 a year for a share of the meat, eggs, and eventually goat dairy products (or you can choose one or the other, veggies or animal products) and two hours of work each week gives you a weekly share of the harvest.  Your membership donation will go towards seeds and other garden supplies and/or feed for the animals.  The good times and new friendships are free!

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Community!
